A high percentage of people from the European continent love to spend their weekends in Berlin. Moreover, the idea mostly generates during the summer time, i.e. from May to October. If you are a resident of extreme cold places, then visiting the German capital during the winter season may not matter to you otherwise some severe trouble may catch up on you. The winter seasons are freezing cold in here and those who are not used to this type of climatic condition may not feel too much comfort during this period.

Hence, arranging for Berlin weekends during the summer time is ideal for people from most parts of the world. The city is a beautiful resemblance of marvelous architectures and heritage building structures. As you visit the local attractions of the city, just pay a visit to the German parliament house. You need not have to go inside (as it is prohibited). Rather, just view it from the outside and you will be stunned observing the brilliant architecture. This 19th century building is truly one of its kinds in terms of architectural beauty. If you want to view the dome from inside, then permission needs to be taken beforehand.

During your Berlin weekend, never forget to visit the Museum Island that is situated on the River Spree. The island falls under the Mitte district. Five different museums are available in this island. And this place has been tagged “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO, during the year of 1999. The five museums that you can find in this heritage place are as follow:

Altes Museum (estd: 1830).
Neues Museum (estd: 1859).
Alte Nationalgalerie (estd: 1876).
Bode Museum (estd: 1904).
Pergamon Museum (estd: 1930).

Among these five ones, the most attractive is the Pergamon Museum. Just looking at the gates will make you feel that this is the place which needs to be cultivated thoroughly. Such beautiful collection of art, sculptures and historical remittances can be seen only at this heritage place.
There are plenty of other places to visit while enjoying your weekend in the German capital. However, remember, you need to save some energy for the night as well. This city is renowned for its ecstatic nightlife. In fact, it ranks within the top ten best nightlife cities available in the Entire Europe.
